Tree roots affecting paving & reaching foundations
Reported via desktop in the Problem with tree roots category anonymously at 11:28, Friday 19 August 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3766352.
I am an 89 year old widow owner of No. 17 Hyholmes. Repairs and replacement of paving in my garden this week found the roots of trees on the verge of Bretton Way near the Hyholmes roundabout had caused lifting and the roots were found right up to the foundations of my bungalow. In the light of the recent case of the 600 year oak tree in South Bretton this is now causing me a great deal of worry and concern. The trees also overhang my side garden and conservatory by 5/6 feet and causes loss of light and a great deal of work removing leaves in autumn.
