Blind lane tall and dead elder trees
Reported via desktop in the Tree is dead or dying category by Zoe Webster at 16:09, Sunday 31 July 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3719991.
I would like to arrange and pay for a dead tree to be taken out opposite our back gate and the trees running along the back of my garden fence to be pruned to 6 foot high to maintain view and light in my garden, I think this is a council grass verger and no one particular owns it; however it does border a field and we know the owners of this field who have allowed this previously as long as we maintain no access to the field. We were informed by the parish council that we need permission

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
