I just parked my car and when I pick up my baby from the car, the Branch suddenly fallen and hit me a little…it was lucky that didn’t hitted my son.My neighbours heard the noise and when they saw what happened came there to help me to take off the branch from the car.We checked the rest of the tree and we saw another branch come off too, but still on the tree so its not safe again.Please, can you send someone to check and cut this tree shorter or do something because I am scared now that this tree will fall and will hit us or someone else.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.

The works recommended from the inspection have been approved and we are in the process of issuing a work order to our contractor.
