Overgrown brambles etc

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 20:16, Thu 23 June 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3619156.

The area behind the bungalows on Welland Close near the cut to Welland Park is overgrown with brambles and other undergrowth. Youths are now using the area behind them (hidden from sight) to smoke drugs, drink and urinate which is causing anxiety to folk who's bungalows back onto this mess. Can we please have all of the overgrown bushes and brambles in this area cut right back. it's a complete mess!

  • Thank you for your enquiry regarding the tree belt close to Welland Close. This area of trees (along with all tree belts across the city) are due their 3 yearly tree survey this winter, where one of our qualified tree surveyors will visit and inspect the trees and subsequently issue out any required health and safety tree works. It is highly probable that once these works have been completed your issue will be resolved. However if you find that by April 2023 that the issue is still present then please feel free to contact us again.

Until the survey has been completed, we will not accept general enquiries on tree belts, however if your concern is of a serious health and safety issue (for eg. Fallen tree, hung timber, split limb etc) then we will of course visit and respond accordingly.

State changed to: No further action
