Lane conflict between sign vs white arrows on road

Reported via desktop in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 20:57, Thursday 9 June 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3584821.

On the approach from the serpentice roundabout to the roundabout leading to Hampton Beach, there is a new sign which shows the 2 lanes clearly stating that for Hampton Beach drivers should be in the left lane, however 30 meters later, the white arrows on the road don't match this guidance with the left lane showing a left only and then the right line showing straight ahead or right. The issue is then that when entering Waterhouse Way some drivers follow the sign, some follow the white arrows and it is an accident waiting to happen :(

2 times I have had a near miss... please change the white arrow so the left land is left and straight ahead, and the right land is right only arrow to head south on London road (or ashbourne road).

Thank you Kevin
