Road, footpath flood with ANY rain

Reported via mobile in the Flooded road category anonymously at 19:00, Tue 7 June 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3579003.

Your team has visited twice already with the big truck and suction hose but it flooded within a week of the visit and does so almost every time it rains. Clearly there is a blockage further downstream of this man hole ?? I checked the nearby drain cover in the car park and it was inches from overflowing too (upstream of the road curb drain).

  • We have attended site once again on Wednesday 21st December, it was proven that our highway gully and connecting lateral pipework was again free of detritus and or blockages, we therefore investigated the Anglian Water main surface water sewer and cleared a blockage that resulted in all standing water dispersing down the gully and away, thereafter we flow tested the gully and all water went with no back up, finally we did a cctv survey of our gully pipework and this was all in tact and clear. As such should in years to come we will in the first instance forward direct to Anglian Water, alternatlively they can be conatcted on 03457 145 145 or online at https://www.anglianwater.co.uk/ help-and-advice/ report-an-issue/

    State changed to: Fixed
