Tree roots are cracking pavement

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3517717.

Free roots are starting to crack path leading to property, also falling debris is a nusciance constantly having to clear footpath and bringing it in on shoes into flat, also branches are overgrown cherry tree also attracts wasps

  • Thank you for your enquiry, in order to investigate this fully we will be communicating the enquiry to the Peterborough Highway’s team who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the highways.

    We will then work with the Highways Team to ensure the most pragmatic and effective response is taken forward in terms of managing the tree and addressing your concerns.

    Bird droppings, leaf and debris fall and or associated residues may be a nuisance however are considered part and parcel of living with trees. This issue is not considered a sufficient reason to prune or remove a tree
