Lime Tree beside church gate
Reported via desktop in the Tree is dead or dying category by Peter Lee at 08:52, Fri 25 March 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3414783.
The churchyard is a closed churchyard which means the City Council maintains it. You identified two diseased limes in the churchyard some years ago. One ( on the Lovers Lane corner) you felled but the other, beside the Nene Way entrance gate you originally decided to fell but then decided not to. Members of the Church Council are now very concerned about the extent of fungus damage to this tree and request that it be felled.

This tree will be re-inspected again in May 2022 so that the canopy can be checked once in full leaf to see if there may be anything to indicate an increased risk of failure
