We have returned back to this location and checked the gully pot and pipework for blockages, several gully pots within Wharf Road have a concrete weir system installed, however on inspection all appeared clear from detritus. We then traced the Anglian Water Surface Water Sewer from the last manhole located to the side of number 85 Wharf Road downstream under the railway crossing and out into the River Nene, we found this outlet to be overgrown and root infested, we have removed all of this vegetation and roots and the water level began to drop within the pipe, this will hopefully now aid the free drainage of the road gullies.
