Continuously Flytipping Spot

Reported via mobile in the General fly tipping category anonymously at 17:34, Sun 26 December 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3199298.

This has become a hotspot for flytipping as there has been multiple of reportings.

The rubbish bags are being dumped by the tenants living at 68 and 70 Taverners Road. One of the photos you will see that the black bin bag is a start to gather piles of bags, await for the flytipping to be collected and then repeat the offence. It is annoying that the fly tipping is carried out under the no flytipping sign. There is no care to respect by these tenants to dump their rubbish at the household waste centre in Fengate.

These tenants need to be seen and spoken to by the enforcement team as this will continue and the fly tips are getting bigger and bigger.

  • We were unable to clear this fly tip. It may be that we were unable to locate it or it may have been on private land.

Fly-tipping will only be cleared from land owned or maintained by Peterborough City Council. We are unable to clear fly-tipping from private land as this is the responsibility of the land owner.

Whilst we cannot provide further details at this time, residents can obtain information on land ownership through HM Land Registry if required. In some cases, the council's environmental enforcement team will investigate further. Therefore, this job has not been completed.

State changed to: No further action
