Half a tree broken off blocking path
Reported via mobile in the Fallen tree category anonymously at 21:05, Wed 1 December 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3154340.
The tree is rotten and part has broken off and blocking path, was reported on 4th August as low hanging branch but no work has been carried and it is now fully broken. Work was approved in September but no further action has taken place. I believe a local Councillor has also reported the issue. I've had numerous people knocking on my door complaining but this is not my tree. It needs removing ASAP as it is blocking the path and there is a blind man that lives on the same street. The whole tree is rotten and parts are breaking regularly in the wind. The tree is on Pratt ave.

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
