Further to previous reports both the centre and RH lanes of the roundabout have always had both straight on and right turn arrows marked. This has led to quite a few near misses in the past that I’ve witnessed myself. With the new markings the problem has been compounded by the fact that the guidance lines for the centre lane have been switched from guiding traffic into the centre lane of the Nene Parkway to the outside lane instead. This has led to the very dangerous situation whereby traffic in the centre lane cuts in front of traffic in the RH lane, and worse still, still has the option to go right, around the roundabout directly across the path of traffic going straight on. In my opinion the centre lane should have its right turn arrow removed and the guidelines returned to feeding the traffic into the centre lane of the Nene Parkway.
