Overhanging trees on to the back of my property
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 19:43, Fri 26 November 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3145928.
The trees at the back of Welbourne have not been maintained now for 3 years . They overhang my back garden . They cut out light and the overhang was so bad in the summer I could have attached a hammock . I left complaining about them as I knew Werrington was on the list to have bushes , trees etc cut back and thought these trees would have been included . Thank you and I hope something is done soon .

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
I trust this answers your enquiry, however, should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Aragon Direct Services.
