Three large branches fallen, Caverstede Road
Reported via mobile in the Fallen branch category anonymously at 12:45, Mon 1 November 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3097206.
During the storm on the morning of Sunday 31st October, three large and heavy tree branches broke off, narrowly missing my car. Two of the three branches caused damage to a wire fence. The fallen branches are new growth following a pollard of the tree in the 1990s or first decade of the 2000s? As a result the tree canopy is open and with more storms likely this winter, there is a strong possibility of more damaging branches braking in the high winds? Next time my car might not be so lucky? Branches over hang my driveway and the Sycamore tree (on council owned grass verge) is within 3 metres of my drive. I am therefore able to park away from the tree.
