Dead tree on grass verge outside 30, Gloucester road has fallen and has been cleared but will need to be replaced to maintathe character of the street.

The tree will be added to our replacement planting list but as it was felled after the 31st July 2021 it will not be replaced until the next planting season. All planting locations have already been agreed and trees ordered for this winter planting season.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
