  • The majority of the city centre streets have combined sewers (Mixture of foul and surface water) this includes Long Causeway, Midgate, Westgate, Church Street, Cathedral Square and Bridge Street. At times of peak flows smells may be omitted from this sewer, via the open gullies that connect to it. This combined sewer is maintained by Anglian Water we can inform them, however should this be a persistent concern they can be contacted directly on 03457 145 145 and ask the inspect their combined sewer system.
