Overgrown bushes

Reported via mobile in the Tree is considered to be causing damage category anonymously at 22:16, Wed 8 September 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council 1 day, 15 hours, 15 minutes later. Council ref: 2989014.

At the side of 165 Kirkmeadow there’s a small parcel of land that used to have a large tree but since that’s been cut down there’s multiple self set trees growing there and it’s really starting to grow and take proper root. Previously the trees have damaged the pavement and concerned about more damage down the line to the pavement and the houses nearby.

  • Works recommended

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.

A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
