Large tree causing problems in our garden

We have a large tree at the back of our garden. A couple of broken branches. Our main problem is the black/grey sticky sap and the seeds falling that is making one corner of our garden almost unusable. It is ruining our furniture and covering plants. The original pond that was in the garden had to be moved. Neighbouring trees had to be cut down because of the damage caused to properties. While I don't wish to see any tree cut down it's having an impact on the use of our garden at 28 Langley
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.

The works recommended from the inspection have been approved and we are in the process of issuing a work order to our contractor.

The works order has now been issued to the contractor for completion within 30 working days. However due to Covid-19 restrictions and workings this may be extended
