The roots of the Council trees, affects the posts

Reported via desktop in the Problem with tree roots category anonymously at 12:18, Monday 9 August 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2923882.

This has been an ongoing problem for more than 11 years. Basically the roots from the Council trees which back on to the bungalows from no. 22 – 29 especially at the back of no. 26 is affecting the posts, which stops the gate from being bolted or latched. The new gate shifts due to the roots from the tree/s affecting the foundation. I have called out the contractor several times to adjust the new gate, which only lasts for a few week. The problem is the foundation, caused by the tree roots, not the gate or the posts. This is a constant cost to the Senior Residents on site. Their Service charge is for site related problems. The reason for this email is to request to have the large roots dug out and removed. In addition, it would be better to remove the nearby tree which is causing the problem. I would appreciate a reply to my work email address which is:- nightingalecourt12253@firstport.co.uk Amy E. Jones Development Manager 01733 324028 07730 697284
