Chunk severed on Tree
Reported via desktop in the Vehicle has damaged tree category anonymously at 10:18, Fri 6 August 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2918162.
IN front of 36 High Street opposite the Co-op. The tree on 36's side has been hit by a vehicle most likely, looks like a lorry has hit it and torn off a large chunk of the tree/branch that is now barely hanging down from the tree. If it does fall off it will most likely fall into the road, though this seems it would happen only if something else hit it but that could happen anytime.

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
