Bramble on the path
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 12:43, Thu 29 July 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2899439.
My house in on a shared drive, in front of the drive are overgrown bushes, the brambles are on the pathway. I was told that when Wilcon Homes stopped looking after the estate. The council would be taking care of the trees and bushes. The same with bushes behind my garden wall. I’ve been told it’s up to me to do, even tho it’s a shared access drive. I’m disabled and can’t do it. I can’t afford to pay anyone to do it. I’m don’t want to get in trouble, and hope we can resolve this. I’ve lived here since 2000, it was always Wilcon and then the council to keep the bushes off payments and roads.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
I trust this answers your enquiry, however, should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Aragon Direct Services.
