Re: 6 Walcot Walk, Netherton, PE3 9QE
We were flooded after the heavy rain fall on 9th July. I have attached pictures for your reference. As you can see the rain has destroyed the ground floor of the house and everything needs replacing now.
On the day we contacted the Floodline, Anglican Water and the Fire Brigade several times.. The only service that turned up was the Fire Brigade after a few hours however they did nothing to help. Anglian Water said they would come the next day but nobody came.We have three vunerable adults in the house who have very immunocompromised immune systems and are having to live in a very damp house now.
Other houses in the street were also flooded however our house is the lowest on the slopes and all the water gathered outside the front of the house. As you can see the level of the water in front of the house was very high more than knee deep high.
I would like to request the Council to arrange for Anglian Water to have a look at the drains in our street and resolve this problem as we do not want this happening again. Without any action we are at risk of flooding which is only getting more problematic now with climate change.
I look forward to ⁷hearing from you soon.

Unfortunately the intense rainfall of the 9th July 2021 caused numerous areas of flash floods with surface water sewers being overloaded. It is reported over 50mm of rain fell within a 6 hour period. As part of our investigation we will inform Anglian Water of this location. For reference the contact number for Anglian Water is 03457 145 145
