The council overgrown trees are damagin our garden

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 15:54, Tue 20 July 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2878067.

Hello! Me and my husband are private renting number 16 on Seymour Place, Peterborough. We've been living at this address since the beginning of March of 2020 and this summer we've noticed that the weeds that grow on the other side of our fence (between our house and number 14) are getting out of control and pretty much took over our garden. We are aware that those weeds should be cut regularly by the council as it is the council land, however nobody came to cut them since we've lived here. We used to keep our garden tidy, with minimal weeds but now there are too many different ones that grow extremely fast through the fence. The area is now infested with different kinds of insects and we can no longer sit in the garden because I personally don't feel safe. I have attatched photos proving we now have ant colonies which is horrible, our garden is super tiny and the spiders and other insects are coming from the bushes over the fence. We cut the weeds regularly but it makes no real difference as the area still feels unpleasant and the bushes from over the fence are growing even through the fence and after we cut them they grow back in no time. I am exhausted to fight these weeds and I'm asking you to please solve this matter as soon as possible as I'm extremely unhappy with my messed up garden.
