  • The gullies in Ash Close have been inspected and all are working as designed, the floods of Ash Close is a result of the surface water sewers reaching capacity, once the surface water sewer on Ash Close surcharges then other parts of the network experience manholes surcharging in the lowest part of the system, Peterborough City Council have asked Anglian Water to investigate their surface water sewer network to ensure this is all free flowing and we understand this has been instigated already. On July 9th this extreme rain event that was not forecast, it has been reported this area of the city recorded a rain fall of 61mm in just 6 hours.
