Excessive flooding

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2855635.

Our house was completely surrounded by 4inch of water, preventing us from leaving the house. Our bathroom flooded and it was extremely close to flooding the whole house. Please help.

  • We have informed Anglian Water of this recent surface water flooding, Peterborough City Council are looking to install additional road gullies in Ayres Drive, however these will only be effective if the Anglian Water Sewer enable the gullies to discharge into them, the Anglian Water surface water sewer in Ayres Drive reached capacity very quickly with over 50mm of rain falling in a a short period. We have asked that Anglian Water check their network through to its outfall location.
