18" deep flood on Garton End Road

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2853750.

There has been a flood this evening on Garton end road. Multiple cars have stalled, and there have been several accidents as drivers avoid debris, and don't drive to the conditions. The drains are not blocked at the surface level, but are not visibly draining water.

  • Unfortunately this section of Garton End Road has historic standing water issues during heavy rainfall, this is due to this location being a low point in the Anglian Water system and once their surface water sewer network reaches capacity the system surcharges, this can be reported to Anglian Water direct on 03457 145 145 if it reoccurs.
