Road flooding

Reported via desktop in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 16:04, Monday 28 June 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2824451.

Understand that the road is due to be resurfaced in July. There is a big issue in that road concerning flooding when it is bad weather, with flooding even going into gardens. They need new drains before the resurfacing takes place.

The council did say that there would be new drains before the resurfacing, hence why it was delayed until July but now saying it will be happening and they don’t know anything about new drains!

If the works go ahead without new drains, it will only make the issue for residents worse. Are highways responsible for putting in new drains? I would be grateful if someone can confirm that there will be the much needed drains that the council said would happen? Can this happen before the resurfacing?
