30 sign needed

Reported via desktop in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 11:47, Thu 24 June 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2815243.

Hope you keeping well.

I wonder if you can help me?

A resident has been on touch with regards the speed limit signs on the A15 junction with the A47 heading out of the city.

As you come down the slip road it's on the tarmac that the speed limit is now 30mph but there's nothing at eye level and many are unaware that the speed limit has been reduced on that section of the road.

Would it be possible to erect additional signs to make it more obvious, please?

Look forward to hearing from you.

  • There is a terminal sign on the A47 slip that requires illumination. Once this is illuminated we can assess the signage to see if 30mph roundels are required. Repeater signs are not usually installed within a 30mph speed limit
