Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2731730.
The wooden bollard was broken and then removed some time ago. It was fixed to the ground to form the left side one in a trio. Only the centre and right hand bollards remain.
The fixed bollards deter unauthorised vehicles from accessing the bridleway. With the fixed bollards in place, authorised vehicles (PCC, Anglian Water and others) are required to remove the moveable centre bollard. This means vehicles have to approach slowly, and from the road, via the dropped kerb. This minimises risks to pedestrians and others on the bridleway, and minimises damage to the verges.
