This short stretch of single track road is a very well used part of the green wheel cycle route. Hundreds of walkers, joggers, cyclist use this route. It is a single track route with some passing spaces. It is a 10mph zone. People using the football pitches have taken to parking on what we’re lovely verges along this lane. There is a car park and people could park better or park on nearby roads rather than on this cycle route. No ambulance could get through if there were an incident on the playing field or in the allotments. Since they’ve been parking on one side, passing cars drive on the narrow verge on the other side, chewing up the edge of our once lovely lane. The parking is a problem at weekends. Please can this lane bd made a no parking zone. Please can the parents snd children be encouraged to walk or cycle to this football practice or not park dangerously. Can the club encouraged car share when covid restrictions are off. The green wheel is unsafe on this stretch and the road will need costly resurfacing if they carry on.
