3 Overgrown Trees
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 15:24, Mon 26 April 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2692326.
3 trees in total - they don't seem to be marked on fix my street.
1 in front of 64/62, and 2 trees to the west about 3 feet away from number 64, as well as another 10 ft away. The tree root system seems to be messing with the nearby houses floors and tiles where it's actually grown up into the kitchen on number 62's case. The trees are now ruing the sunlight coming down due to such a large area that they now cover and if they were to go down due to storm/wind - they could cause some serious damage.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
I trust this answers your enquiry, however, should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Aragon Direct Services.
