Re: Short Footpath at bottom of Goodacre (side of no. 46 Goodacre) to main cycle/footpath between Goodacre and Demark Drive.

I would like to request a ‘no vehicle/motorcycle access’ sign and bollards/chicane to a short footpath that is being used by motorcycles. These are mopeds and powerful road worthy motorcycles all with number plates. The footpath is being used as a short cut from Goldhay to Longueville and then access to Oundle Road and vice a versa.

It has become dangerous for older people living in the bungalows in Goodacre to use the footpath and also children daily use the footpath to access Nene Park School, some parents drop their children off the Goodacre side of the footpath.

As you can see from the photos attached, any bike speeding through here risks hitting pedestrians or cyclists on the main footpath when they speed though from the Goodacre side, this is a accident waiting to happen and request urgent action to stop this.
