At the back of number 78 Eastern Avenue
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 12:18, Tue 16 March 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2612353.
At the back of number 78 there are some trees that are very overgrown. There was a tree surgeon there about 2 years ago to say that we would do some work on there and that it would be about 6-8 weeks but nothing has been done. Please can we get this looked at as soon as possible. She said if they were to fall it would go through the house. She is very worried and getting distressed.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
I trust this answers your enquiry, however, should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Aragon Direct Services.
