Litter and snagged balloons in Baker Park

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 08:17, Tuesday 16 March 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2611492.

Hi, took a walk yesterday through Baker Park and all the hedges and underneath are strewn with litter that looks like it has been there for a while.

In the trees, there is also a helium balloon tangled up in the branches. I could not reach it to remove and bin it. This and the litter in the park is no doubt impacting wildlife. It's a shame that so many parts of Peterborough are very clean and beautiful, but in other areas no attempt seems to be made to clean up litter that affects wildlife and no doubt tourism, as it's not a nice site. I spent a long time picking up litter to bin it, but the council needs to have someone regularly picking this up,
