Overgrown weed and branches
Reported via mobile in the Growth at the bottom of trees/regrowth category by Sajid Hussain at 13:59, Tuesday 2 March 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2582177.
Hi, The land at the back of our garden is council land, it is a river bank which is being cleaned by the council the last couple of days. I had asked the workers to remove all these bushes and hedges but they have refused. I have cleared as much as I can from the top but cannot gain access to the rest which you can see in the images. All the surrounding houses have had theirs cleared but the overgrown weed and branches has been left on our side. I would appreciate it if you could tackle this. I do not have the equipment nor the skill to tackle this myself, and being that it is council land I feel this should be done by yourselves. If you could kindly arrange for this to be cleared out I'd greatly appreciate it. If you could call me or email me to advise of when they can come out please on the following 07956 364722 and firstname.lastname@example.org. regards

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
