  • The Headwall downstream at the junction of Bakewell Road was checked and no debris or blockages was found the ditch was flowing well. We have not checked the ditch directly to the west of Smiths News, as this is private and under the responsibility of the Land Owner, I would highly recommend that this section of ditch is inspected and the downstream headwall checked for detritus as this could well be restricting the flow under Southgate Way and into the free flowing ditch downstream, as this flooding appears isolated to Smiths News ditch, with no evidence that the ditches North of Southgate Way, leading to Bakewell ROad breaching/overtopping.

State changed to: No further action
