Flooding to drainage ditch
Reported via desktop in the Other public drainage issue category anonymously at 08:46, Friday 29 January 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2508739.
The Manager has reported that the ditch It does appear to have dropped maybe 6 ft., but still remains full and does not appear to have any movement as there are debris sitting on the surface not moving.
This ditch is usually holds around 6 inches of water and is very fast flowing so I’m concerned there may be another blockage or partial blockage somewhere so maybe an idea to ask H/O to contact the council again to check along it as we are possibly due rain again tonight.
Is it possible to check the point of blockage again?
Thanks for making your report.
It will be passed on to the relevant department. We will endeavour to provide you with an update within 10 working days.

The area in question was inspected this morning 29/01/21, no further blockages found and the ditch was flowing well. This will take time to return to normal levels due to the amount of ground saturation and land run off.
State changed to: No further action
