Ground water coming up through road surface

Reported via iOS in the Other public drainage issue category anonymously at 22:09, Thursday 28 January 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2508465.

For the past 3 weeks, there has been a constant flow of water coming up through the road surface. The water is coming through the joint between a patch of tarmac after a previous water supply repair a few years ago.

The drainage in our village desperately needs improving. The area where the water is coming through is near NO.33

  • This has been passed to our Contractor Skanska to investigate, the drainage system in Church Walk is an old system and several joints may be now misaligned over time, as such during times of continuous wet weather and ground saturation, ground water will find any weakness in the sub soil strata.

    State changed to: Internal referral
