Parking area breaking up. Paths/grass mess/danger
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Christine Cuffe at 16:26, Tue 12 January 2021
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2474365.
The parking area at the back of mums house has lost all tarmac now concrete underneath is breaking up and is different levels. This has been going for years but is now getting yo be a bit of a Tripping hazard. Paths are very dangerous even before cablework being done. There is mud and leaves all over them. So bad that when it froze overnight mum couldn't walk the dog for days as the mud etc had turned to ice and her walker has a swivel wheel on the front, so it turns and won't move if it hits anything on the ground. Grass is being driven over by people doing cables where council left tidy and with grass seed there are now huge dips in the mud. When it comes to cutting the grass later in the year the machines won't be able to. I have attached pictures. I know it is winter and you expect mess with the weather but it is now getting dangerous. Mum is 86 years old with arthritis and diabetes and other things that come with age. She has lived here since 1974 as one of the first residents. We are an Ex RAF family from wittering. Please can you help to let her get out and even just walk her dog. She needs to get out for her body to keep moving and got her sanity at the moment. It's bad enough she can't talk to anyone on her little walk round the block. But it is even stopping her doing that as well. Thanking you in anticipation. Christine Cuffe.
