Resident called to inform that the trees in the front of 22A church street ,Northborough which on the conservation area.one of them is very tall that probably needs pruning. also the telephone cables have been entangled in the trees. Can we please have a look. There are about 6 trees in total. Worried that the trees may come down because of their height.
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
