Road coverd by overgrown shrubs and trees

Reported via desktop in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 14:44, Tuesday 5 January 2021

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2462666.

Overgrown shrubs and trees have reduced to useable width of the road to the point that you cannot drive along the length of the road without your vehicle being over the centre line and on the opposite direction lane. There has been little to no maintenance on both side of the road for several years. The issue exists from the junction of King Street with High Street up to the railway line crossing. Overgrown shrubs an trees stick out into the road. To avoid these and therefore damage to your vehicle you are forced towards the centre of the road. If a vehicle is coming in the opposite direction you have no choice other than to drive through the overgrowth causing damage to the vehicle. It is only a matter of time until this problem causes a serious accident. It is much worse at night due to no street lighting.
