The surface water drainage system on Claypole Drive is primarily drained via soakaways, during these intense storm events these become full and the ground gets waterlogged thus the gullies appear blocked but simply they can not drain as the system is full. If the water was still there the next day then yes these could be blocked. With regards the manhole in the road this is an Anglian Water foul water sewer and must have been overloaded by rain water and given its a smaller pipe this would have also got full and bubbles out the manhole...then be best to call Anglian Water on 03457 145 145.
State changed to: No further action
