Damaged verge problem
Reported via desktop in the Public footpath or cyclepath category anonymously at 15:43, Thu 10 December 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2426343.
Could you please make arrangements for the verge outside 167 - 169 Fletton Avenue to be repaired or the problem of the mud remedied. I suspect the real cause of the problem is White Vans doing door to door deliveries going along the slip road and parking area outside 171 - 175 Fletton Avenue and taking a short cut over the verge to get back on the main road. May I tentatively suggest laying plastic ground stabilizers may help if grass is reinstated. Some years ago highways had a French Drain laid in the area in question to help with drainage. A number of residents are concerned about this eyesore and danger outside their houses and would like to be informed of any proposed changes especially if it threatens to reduce parking in the area or in my case encourage motorists to obstruct my vehicle entry.
