BT phone lines going through the tree
Reported via mobile in the Tree touching overhead cables category anonymously at 19:15, Wed 21 October 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2351721.
The BT phone lines for 3 and 3a Ascot Drive are going through the tree. We are both experiencing problems with the phone line’s more so during windy weather and rain. BT haves moved 3a to another link in the BT box to try and resolve any difficulties and 3 Ascot Drive are having continued Internet problems. The tree has never been crowned and In June 2020 we reported problems and a large broken branch which Aragon removed but stated they could only deal with the dead in the tree but not pruning or crowning it. Next to the large tree is a tree planted by an ex neighbour and this will also start presenting a problem.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the tree. Unfortunately, at the present time there are no identifiable arboricultural reasons to justify carrying out any works.
We recommend that you contact BT as they have a Statutory Undertaking as such this enables them to carry out Arboricultural works when it affects their lines or equipment.
State changed to: No further action
