Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2349341.
Broken tree in Central Park. I reported this tree to the park attendants 2 weeks ago when it had been vandalised but saveable with a wooden stake and some tape and nothing was done about it. Unfortunately it has been further vandalised last night Sunday 19.10.20 It’s too late the tree has been cut down, My point was I reported it over two weeks age when it could have been saved now it’s gone forever. I’ve enclosed two photographs one of its stump and tree position within the park.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
