Unlit sign problem

Reported in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 09:53, Tue 29 September 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2316499.

I'm a resident on Walton Park, we have seen the new 30mph signs as you enter the Morrisons stretch of road but i have noticed there are no other sign anywhere between there and Matalan. And none at all coming from Matalan until the 40pm limit as you enter the Mountsteven Ave roundabout (which I can't understand?) Literally entering a roundabout and a pedestrian crossing, and another crossing a few hundred mtrs down, both of which have countless school children using.

  • Please accept our apologies for the late reply. This was due to admin issues. I can confirm that the sign design meets all the current statutory and regulatory guidance on sign spacings and locations. Repeater signs are not permitted in a 30mph zone and so only the terminal signs at each end of the restriction are present. The project has been subject to a thorough Safety Audit process (including the speed limit reduction).

State changed to: No further action
