Public access blocked
Reported in the Public right of way - problem with access or damage category anonymously at 12:57, Sat 26 September 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2312734.
We have been unable to go through the back access from our garden through our neighbours garden for 7 years. The neighbour refuses us acces and will not give us a key to the gate with the lock only accessible from the inside of my neighbours gate. She constantly have the acces blocked from inside the gate at the back as well as the entry access. This is our only route of escape should the front access ever be compromised. I have my daughter and granddaughter living with me and this is a serious risk to us as we have no way of escaping. I have tried to reason with my neighbour but she is never civil and is always abusive. If anything is to happen we would not be able to get away from the property safely. We cannot relive rubbish or any large item as this all has to come through the house. I cannot pay for a brown bin as I cannot get this through the house or round the back access. This has been going on for 7 years. Before we moved in my neighbour did allow access previously. I urge you to look into this as soon as possible as I am worried that one day this will be a serious health and safety matter to me and my family. Many thanks Karen Knight
