Tree Next to 25 Whittington removal Enquiry
Reported in the Enquiry regarding newly planted tree category anonymously at 13:50, Fri 25 September 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2311505.
I would like to enquire regarding the removal of a tree next to 25 Whittington, Parnwell, PE1 4YE. A notice was placed on the tree earlier this year for it’s removal, but I am unable to find details on you website under tree management. This tree is causing subsidence to Home Groups properties and we require the tree to be removed before we can commence work.
Could you please advise when the tree is due to be removed, to enable Home Group to proceed with the subsidence work, that needs to be carried out

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
