Standard big Asda Trolley

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 19:04, Thursday 10 September 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2288733.

Asda Trolley lays on its side in the current shallows of 2 - 3 three feet of water, I dont dare put my waders on and life jacket and retrieve it out the water myself in case I get into difficulty, where i spoke to environment agency who said that this is not an emergency where this trolley is the local authority of Peterborough city council where this needs a 2 person retrieval. It is a four foot drop from a wall into the water.

Unfortunately Aragon Direct Services no longer remove Shopping Trolleys for certain high street retailers including ASDA. This is now the responsibility of a company called Trolleywise. The Troleywise collection team, funded by the retailers, will come out to retrieve the Trolley’s and then return it to the relevant supermarket chain, meaning the trolleys are recycled. This is an environmentally friendly scheme. You would need to report this directly to them on trolleywise@wanzl.co.uk or via their app.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
