Pop up cycle lane enquiry

Reported in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 13:17, Thursday 10 September 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2288128.

I was wondering where the council is planning to spend the funds received from Central Government with regards to Cycle Lanes. I currently cycle in from the Hampton area along London Road to the station. Any of the cycle paths on this route are just actually a sign saying we can share the pavement with pedestrians, or a line in the pavement. Pedestrians do not understand this and will often accidentally & deliberately block my way through saying I should be on the road. I was hoping that you have some plans for this route as I see a lot of cyclist's already using it and with the continual building of new homes going on, I'm sure that this would increase especially if dedicated cycle lanes were available. Also as the roads are getting busier, for the same reason, it is getting more dangerous for cyclists to be on the roads.
